Joseph credits God for making him lord of all Egypt (Genesis 45:9)

⁹ Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:

Comments:

Here Joseph rightfully acknowledges God's sovereignty over civil government. When God wants to place the righteous in power, there is nothing man can do to stop it. In every nation, God is the highest political authority.
